The clinic — and Dr Herath in particular — used to provide genuine care, time, and attention. Unfortunately, that has changed in the last few years and worse now. Appointments are rushed, and mistakes on referrals have become common. Tests and scans are ordered excessively, and no repeats on scripts, which results in unnecessary follow-up visits. Being my first visit to a GP in Australia, I had a bit of apprehension about how the experience would be. However, it turned out to be overwhelmingly good! Dr. Palipana was extremely attentive — he patiently listened to all my concerns, explained the diagnosis in detail, and proactively took steps to validate it further. I had pathetic experience with this clinic. Below are my observations. 1. General appointment takes $90 but for capacity certificate assessment for insurance which was less time compared to regular appointment they charge more than $200. That was quite unfair trade. 2. Because it was related to insurance, I required referrals. I haven't received all referral letters requested. When I enquired about it, I was asked to pay for that. That's pathetic service. First it's their duty to offer all referrals. Then ask for more money ... read more
