Huh? I don't know what that last guy is talking about. I had the complete opposite experience with Dr Wallaces office staff. I went in for a cleaning with the Hygenist, and she was friendly and chipper. I had to reschedule for some fillings, and the front office was right on it. They told me exactly what the bill was going to be and scheduled me right in. No fuss, no muss. My whole family comes here, including my kids with braces, and I've never had a problem. Great dentist, terrible staff! Dr. Wallace himself is WONDERFUL. His staff, especially his hygenist and accounting are absolutely infuriating. All 3 procedures i have had done in the last year and a half have ended up costing me much more than estimated. The hygenist did a cleaning procedure without telling me it cost $90 first, then on my next visit, insisted on a deep cleaning, even though i didn't have the time or money at the moment, would not give me a regular cleaning instead, even after my request, and charged me for ... read more
Wallace Matthew Dds is a great dentist for uninsured! after getting a free exam and xrays, I decided to price comparison shop for another dentist. All I can say is WOW! Not only is Dr. Wallace an excellent dentist, he is very fair in his prices (much lower than other advertised "Corporation" dental offices). I would recommend this dentist to anyone in Ventura County who does not have insurance. His prices are way below other dentists in this area.And he is very current in his practice! Afraid of dentists I am so glad I made the call to Dr. Wallace two years ago. I had neglected my teeth all my life due to fear of Dentists and as soon as I walked in and met the staff I felt at ease. Dr. Wallace has a great laid-back personality and sense of humor and made me feel I was in good hands. Tooth Ache Dr. Wallace is a great dentist. I felt totally comfortable with him. One problem I did have was he told me I was covered for white fillings in the back, but he later told me that was just an estimate and asked me to pay the diffence. I called my insurance company, and they told me to get authorization codes and call them before having work done.
