Very professional very kind people.
There was an unnecessary bill. The clerk said that horizon blue cross blue shield’s portal was down and could not verify insurance. The clerk obtained this information over a chat with someone outside the office. Claimed it was an offshore team. This questions how information is being shared and the fact the office does not have a system to urgently or adequately provide health services. After suffering from horrible flu-like symptoms and a throat infection I finally bit the bullet and went to urgent care. As a single working student I don’t have insurance and a trip to the doctor can be really stressful emotionally and financially. I saw Dr. Jackson on a Wednesday and she was very accommodating. She understood that I couldn’t afford more than a doctors visit or two and she took care of me and provided a discount on my medication. Going to urgent care was scary. I needed a clinic near me that would be able to help when I burned myself cooking breakfast. I wasn't sure what time urgent care is open, but the urgent care near me opens at 9:00 AM on weekdays. I got treatment for the burn and was home before lunch!
