Called this location today to confirm pricing for a prescription prior to having it transferred. Pharmacy tech I spoke with was not at all helpful, even somewhat rude, insisting the prescription had to be transferred to them before they could give me pricing. I contacted a different Walgreens location and the pharmacy tech at other store was more than helpful and was able to give me pricing over the phone. I ultimately ended up transferring my prescription to the other location.
I've been going to this pharmacy for the past 12 years, absolutely no problems. I'd imagine that's most people's experience.
My privacy was violated. This is the third time this violation has occured. HIPAA regulations include information, such as diagnosis or treatment, is not to be disclosed, or discussing private health information over the phone in a public area. These scenarios violate HIPPA. The pharmacist asked why I was taking the medication. The medication was not a controlled substance or even a pain medication.
