Dr Lutfiyya was the surgeon I was assigned to by Kaiser and I'm so thankful I got him. He is a no nonsense doctor who is patient and listens well to all my concerns. When all was said and done he laid out all my options and when I asked what he would do in my position, he gave me a straight answer. I had cancer, and thanks to Dr Lutfiyya and his team, now I don't.
This man single-handedly renewed my faith in the medical system and was the best experience I have ever had with any doctor. That’s saying a lot considering that he is a colorectal surgeon. Dr. Lutfiyya is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but he is kind, listens to *your* needs, and crafts a plan that will work for you. He made an otherwise terrible situation into a pleasant, kind, and warm interaction. I will send everyone I know in need of a colorectal surgeon to him!

Dr.Lutfiyya was knowledgeable and reassuring when talking with me about my rectal cancer and made me feel that everything was going to be okay . Dr.Lutfiyya makes you uncomfortable because of his knowledge of what needs to be done he does not beat around the Bush or tell you it is all Rose's but he is a great Doctor. I would send anyone to him
Get everything in writing and tape any meetings with him assume that anything you tell him is not added to your record including drug allergies Be prepared to experience pain after surgery, as they don't want to use very much pain meds so they can send you home earlier and pain meds will slow down your bowel. also be really careful as he doesn't document drug allergies so if you are allergic to anything they normally use they will still give it you. I experienced this first hand.
