Best Pizza in the U.S. – I have lived many places in the U.S. (including New York) and have never found such an amazing pizza place! The St. Louis style crust is unbelievable, and the list of possible toppings seems to go on for ever (not to even mention the beer list!). Although I no longer live in the Kansas City area, I make it a point to eat here when I visit with friends (as recently as last month). I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good pizza and an unpretensious environment.

Gone downhill over the years... – I used to go to Waldos every weekend but have stopped since their expansion. The pizza is as good as ever, but the ambiance has changed. There are too many large parties, especially post-sports game parties where parents think it is appropriate to bring 20 kids in to eat. Minsky's on Main does not cater to these kinds of parties and they now earn my business. It's a shame because Phil is a nice guy but he needs to take control of his business better. Parents - take your kids to Pizza Hut!!

Oh Yeah! – Finally, a GREAT pizza place our family can agree on! We used to argue over NY or chicago. Their hand tossed siuts the bill for all. Fresh, gooey, delicious! The ONLY pepperoni I will eat! Sandwiches are top notch too. Good optoins for kids-garlic cheese bread instead of sacrificing half your pizza to "just cheese." GREAT value!

How a pizza place should be – The selections for the pizza could be well over 1000 different combinations. The pizza is great when you make the right combinations. I've only had 1 bad pizza and it was just not a good mix of items for me, roasted garlic is was the problem. (i like garlic as a accent of flavor not as the main flavor). And if you like beer try the crimson and blue with a chicken, artichoke and basil pizza its a perfect match made in heaven. You can get anything from Don Perignon to pabst blue. All in all this is... read more

This popular pizzaria is well worth the wait with authentic, delicious pies and over 80 beer selections. – In Short The atmosphere is quirky with children's artwork proudly displayed from the children's museum. First you choose your crust. There's the thin St. Louis style, deep-dish Chicago style, and medium thick, traditional hand tossed crust. Next, pick from all of the traditional toppings plus a few not-so-common ingredients like zucchini, sliced almonds and eggplant. Kansas City's own Mendolia's Italian sausage is featu... read more

waldo good – There is no oter pizza in the city where you can get as many unusual toppings on a pizza. My favorite pie is Sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, pineapple, and cream cheese.

Confused – I simply can't understand the praise for this pizza. I have to agree with onewhoknows on this one. I've been too the lunch buffet a few times with co-workers, and have always disliked the pizza. I think more folks should spend a week in Chicago and visit the great pizza establishments there. If you still prefer Waldo Pizza after that, I'll buy you lunch there!

Better than Chicago's Chicago style! – After recently visiting Chicago and trying out their famous Chicago style pizza, I found that Kansas City had an even better Chicago Style Pizza here in Missouri. I had been to Waldo's once before I went to Chicago and three times since I have been back and nothing beats this place. They have soooo many toppings and cheeses to choose from and the atmosphere is nice~just like a oizza place was meant to be. Ever since I had Waldo's Pizza I can't eat it any where else no other pizza tastes... read more

best of the midwest – The best part about Waldo Pizza is the owner. I have been a customer there for several years now, but when I first began eating there I met Phil. He seems to be a connoisseur of fine beers and so I told him about my favorite. The next time I was there he had gotten some in for me. Talk about customer service! The pizza is great (my favorite thin crust in KC), the salad bar is good, and the beer is fantastic. Does attract families with kids which I find a little noisy at times.
