My child has been struggling with an eating disorder for over 2 years. After 1-4 days of admission at different residential facilities, I was asked to pick them up and told that the staff did not have the capacity to treat my child. After being hospitalized for 10 days at a re-feeding hospital in Philadelphia, they were transferred to Walden Treatment Center In Dedham and I could honestly say that this is the first time in 2+ years that my child is making progress. The treatment is obviously challenging for them, but the s... read more
Don't bother! They don't care, and they don't return your calls; I asked them to call me 4x's and NOTHING! What a horrible experience when you have an addiction to not have someone care enough about your well-being. WOW! Don't waste your money! There are other places that can provide the support you need.
DO NOT GO HERE. The staff isn’t understanding and they do not help with anything. I put my daughter into this program about 3 months ago and they have yet to help me or her with ANYTHING. When we state our concerns, they are barely even addressed. The family mentor PUTS ME TO SLEEP and teaches absolutely nothing useful. Every time I discuss with my daughter what they taught her that day, she is barely even able to tell me anything because of the lack of support and information she receives. The team puts no effort to work ar... read more
I have struggled with an ED for close to a decade, I had recovered multiple times on my own, with relapses like anyone here and there. I entered voluntarily into the IOP program after seriously relapsing within the calendar year. I had to sign a contract, which I followed to a T. Naturally my metabolism went into overdrive, and I lost weight in the first week (even though every lab and other test was terrific and normal) and they put my case in front of the board. At first my intake lady told me I would be fine, two hours we... read more
Harassment by prescribing medications for opposite symptoms. Do not share anything or they will drug you for the opposite problem, too happy, they will make you more happy, too sad, they will give you a depressant. Dirty chairs. Noisy slamming doors that need slower hinges. Styrofoam plates on a plastic table that squeaks loudly. Reusing razors. Dirty showers. Mind numbing boring. No counseling. Just quick Q&As. Boundary problems. Half of patients put "do not disturb" signs on their doors.
