Had my gallbladder removed, never spoke to surgeon after. Had a bright red allergy band on because I can't have codeine. Only pain meds they were wanting to give me had codeine in it. Luckily I was coherent enough to hear them and stopped them before it was too late. Was asked to calm down bc I was crying because I was in so much pain. Was rushed out so quickly that I HAD TO HAVE MY IV REMOVED IN MY CAR. All of the monitors were still on me when I got home. Was never given wound care instructions.
