Went to the emergency room 4 years ago and paid the bill in full. Received a letter saying my account was going to collections 2 years after my original visit to the emergency room. I called wake med they said there was no bill.
I'm with everyone else. Four months post ER visit, I get a collections letter out of nowhere. I call WakeMed - they say zero balance. They suggest calling Wake Emergency Physicians billing. I call them and they said they sent out FOUR billing statements to me - I never received any them. I tried to tell them there's a problem with their system that needs attention but the agent wasn't having that. All the other bills from the ER visit were promptly paid - because I actually got them. Sent a bill a YEAR later, extremely rude customer service. If you can avoid WakeMed as a whole, I highly suggest!
Never sent bill to me
Fraudulent billing practices I am dealing with A YEAR AND A HALF LATER. They just send random, paid bills through collections. Reporting to NC Health Board and my insurance. This needs to STOP.
