I filed a complaint and wrote 2 reviews regarding the Wake Med Raleigh campus four months after my father was hospitalized there (and after his death). My father, who was 100% bed-ridden, had his cell phone taken by hospital staff when they changed his sheets. Initially, staff admitted they lost the phone, and they initially agreed to pay for or replace the lost phone. Later, however, hospital staff backed down from that statement and actually told us, "Sorry your father died. But we are not responsible for his phone." ... read more

My 81-year-old father was a patient at Wake Med hospital. He has since passed away, but when he was in the hospital, he was 100% bed-ridden. He could not even sit up by himself. Prior to this illness, he had never been sick before in his life. This was his first hospitalization. He was afraid, and my mother stayed with him most of the time.
