Staff including RNs, therapists, aids and techs were friendly and helpful. I was doing inpatient rehab post stroke.
I wish I had come to this facility first, and so this review is for those who are looking for real help with a brain injury. I developed Post Concussion Syndrome, and went to a sports therapist facility for treatment, and ended up having a huge setback due to the PT being overly focused on physical activities. At Wakemed Rehab, there are actual PT doctors (DPTs) who specialize in PCS. They know how to properly treat the different issues that come along with brain injury, not just physical rehab. This is a great program the therapists are great. Nurse Tanya and the case worker Maria are the greatest. I'm thankful for both of them. As a person with TBI which is a traumatic brain injury, they have been a great help, with finding specialists or anything on the outside that a former inpatient might need, they come find you and make great things happen. Not sure what I would do without them. Thank you Nurse Tanya and case worker Maria in outpatient rehab.
