Had an emergency appendectomy by Dr. Brandon Roy. Superb bedside manner and put me at ease, answered all my questions, and chatted easily before surgery. At my post-op, non-narcotized office visit I was glad to see he was the same way! I don't recommend the urgent surgery but I DO recommend Dr. Roy if ever you have the need!
I just had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Brandon Roy on February 4th. Dr. Roy is an excellent surgeon. Dr Roy was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and easy to understand. He calmed all my fears and explained each step of the ways. He made sure that I understood everything before and after surgery in detail. His a very caring, honest and comfortable surgeon to have. I had a wonderful experience with WakeMed North General Surgery. Dr. Riggens and her nurse were incredibly kind, patient, and professional. I came in feeling very anxious, but they took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. I never felt rushed, and all of my questions were answered with care. Their compassion and reassurance truly made a difference. I highly recommend this team!

My experience was wonderful! Dr.Roy and his staff were professional,efficient and caring. My surgery went great and they were very open to communication and answered any questions I had after the fact. Wake Med was also able to accept my insurance when other hospitals weren't. Over all I'm extremley happy with my time at Wake Med and with Dr' Roy's office.
