Had my visit with Dr Akbar, and he has one of the most wonderful kind bedside manners as they call it. I think he's a fantastic human being with a huge heart for other human beings. I was so blessed to meet him and have him care for my injury on my left hand. I love the way that he explained things to me before treating my injury. It was understandable, and he gave me options/the choice regarding whether or not to have novocaine first or not. I felt like I was in the most capable hands. Doctors like him are very rare indeed!
Dr Akbar fixed my very painful trigger thumb 3/3/26. The surgery, anesthesia and results were perfect. I can bend it without pain or getting stuck. I'm still wearing an ace bandage to protect it for another two weeks, but it had more damage than expected, so I appreciate the precautions. He's easy going, quiet and competent. I appreciate that he is available here in Tawas City.
Wonderful nurses and Dr Akbar is the most nicest and compassionate Dr!!! Takes his time with his patients and truly cares!!!
