Since 1953, WADE'S DRIVE-IN has been family-owned and operated. At that time the business was a six-stool counter and a drive-up window. It was owned and operated by Wade and Mickey Sorensen for 30 years. Since 1983, the business has been owned and operated by Mickey's son and his wife, Tom and Mary Beth Bennett. Re: Great Place to Stop I love to stop into Wade's on my way to Harlowton or my way through town. I don't get there as much as I used to but when I do we always make a stop here. The food is fast fast fast and the staff is very friendly.
Wade's Drive Inn & Cafe If you are traveling and want to stop and have a quick bite to eat, this is the place to come to. The service is fast, food tasty, and the desserts are wonderful. Some of the best pie has been purchased here. Along with food, there is a gift shop section to purchase cards, clothing, Montana gifts, and other assortments. You'll be greeted with "Montana Hospitality" the moment you enter this establishment. Plan to stop when you are in the area.
Always a favorite for this Washington Girl!! My Dad grew up in Harlowton and we have made MANY trips "home" since I was a small child, and eating at Wade's has always been a treat!! Wade's has the BEST milk shakes, super friendly staff, and the food isn't bad either! I have fond memories of going to Wade's as a child, and although my Gram is gone, if ever I have the opportunity to pass through Harlo I will be sure to take my little ones to Wade's!!
Boycott Wades While the service is friendly the food is very greasy. Not only that, the County Commissioner owner pockets 10% of the minimum wage server"s credit card tips. I suggest people find another place to eat. If you must eat there, tip your server in cash!
