WHERE IS THE MISSING GOLD Mr. Wade? Your letter correctly states the necklace was 48 dwt, which should be 16 dwt per bracelet before the claw clasps. 117 links/3 is 39, however at least 2 of the 3 bracelets only has 37 links. As shown on my jeweler’s scale, my bracelet is 15.5 dwt with the added clasp, and .5 inch short of 7 inches. That’s about $300 in gold missing.
