The first time I saw Dr. Allaf at Memorial Regional, he did NOT even introduce himself. Just: "How are you?" I told him the ER told me I had pneumonia in both lungs. His response: "May be it's just bronchitis". Then I asked him: "Did you see my last night CT scan?". Response: "NO". The hospital did a phlegm culture. They knew which bacteria was involved, but that so called "lung specialist" was not even able to prescribe the right antibiotic for that bacteria. I refused to see him again.
Terrible! If you're at Memorial Hospital, fight if he's assigned to you: demand another dr! In my case, he missed an urgent, critical issue despite the labs and CT scan findings identifying my condition. During his rounds, he stopped by my room for a total of 2 minutes in 5 days, paying more attention to his damned phone than attention to me the patient. I wish I could give him negative stars! I'm lucky & glad I found a good pulmonary dr on this site.
