Definitely a 1 star highly recommend IU health over this place. No support staff, nurses, medical assistants, they can't administer shots they prescribe and prior authorizations/refills take forever. They have no idea how to deal with insurance or pharmacies. Basically you're seeing a doctor who will guess and check different meds hoping for the best like anyone else with a rudimentary understanding of psychiatry. Just another privileged uncompassionate doctor with a god complex
I did have very good things to say about this place but they've gone extremely downhill in the pursuit of money. First they will not order blood or hormone tests or any scans. They will throw buspar and SSRIs around like candy. You will never be able to get a phone call answered. They are very bad about sending refills. They took away their personal line so you can't reach out for mental health crisis. Time per patient is wayyy down so they can make more money. Dr John makes odd innuendos to patients and over medicates.
Good place to get prescriptions for a ton of drugs that you probably don’t need from a psychiatrist who doesn’t care about anything other than his creepy Spider-Man collection
I do not find doctor john, caring or understanding at all. I find him very judgy, completely unfriendly and entirely unsympathetic. Where do you walk in? And go to sit down, he goes, "get on the scale" because I guess my weight is the most important part of my mental health???? I need ear as a charges. You do know that a lot of people are. I'm not happy with their weight or maybe have issues with eating disorders... Surely there's a more compassionate way to start the office visit?
