This hotel is a shambles. I had a rate booked through the Marriott app, arrived at the hotel tired after an overnight flight and they tried to charge me 50% more than the pre arranged price! Very poor service for what is meant to be a premium hotel. If you are looking for good service in Melbourne, avoid.
During my stay, a plastic lid came off a water dispenser in a communal, public area during normal use. The manager, Yaya, attempted to charge me $2,000 on my card for this, an amount that is completely unreasonable and disproportionate. Instead of following proper internal procedures or escalating the matter to someone experienced, Yaya appeared to make her own rules. She disregarded ACCC guidelines and Consuer Laws and even stated she would charge me "if I did something"—a vague, unprofessional, and unlawful threat. When I ... read more

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are clean, well appointed, and comfortable. What really set this hotel apart for me, was the staff. They were all very friendly, helpful and super accommodating. It seemed they went out of their way to address any requests or issues I had and also they were addressed quickly. I would definitely recommend the W Melbourne, and I plan on staying here again.
