I started my building career with these guys. I learned a lot from all the different salesmen in all kinds of situations. I always thought this was how a lumber yard was supposed to be until I moved to Knoxville. No one has come close to the service and family I came to know there, in fact I just ordered some tools from them from across the state because no one else carries them! Still great service after 15 yrs after moving away.
On a recommendation of my builder, I had Vowell come out to measure and tell me how many bricks I needed for my house. They told me I needed approx. 24000 which I ordered from them. Now I am finished and have over 4000 bricks left over and I added two sets of steps that I did not tell the Vowell man about. Vowell has refused to come pick up the extra bricks! I am stuck with them! Mr. Vowell told me that they would NOT give credit and the only way they would pick up the bricks would be if I PAID THEM! So they can tell you how... read more
