Disasterous
Dr. Voss has been treating three generations of my family, from shoulders to knees. Every single person who I’ve referred to dr. Voss has said they’d never choose another surgeon. Wonderful bedside manner aside, every pre-op and post op nurse told me he does their and their family’s surgery. I cannot comprehend the negative reviews except to wonder what the agenda might be. What a gifted, compassionate guy. I actually saw him for a second opinion—my original doc told me to see HIM 10 stars!
Went to Dr Voss for shoulder pain. After an MRI I was told by that a bone spur was cutting tendons, I needed to have the spur removed, time off from work 2 days. Post op I was told that an extensive surgery was done, and I needed 8 weeks off from work. Voss said he did not know about this prior to the surgery. I reviewed the MRI with 2 other orthopedic surgeons who said it was apparent that I needed at least 6 weeks off . Voss dropped me as a patient, saying "you signed the consent."
My experience with Dr. Voss was suboptimal at best and borderline medical malpractice at worst. I saw Dr. Voss multiple times regarding a dislocated shoulder and I waited a minimum of 45 minutes to see him after arriving on time for an appointment. Dr. Voss performed shoulder surgery on me and his surgery resulting in osteoarthritis, bone spurs, severe shoulder pain, and no mobility. I had to have a corrective surgery and will eventually need a full shoulder replacement. Stay clear of him.
Dr. Voss did both of my total knee replacements and I am extremely satisfied with both. He is a kind, understanding person with a great bedside manner and excellent surgical skills.
