Incredibly frustrating experience. Stay away. The only thing I can assume is that they are winding up the business? - Entirely due to office mgr Karina not communicating. It took 2 weeks to get a response in the beginning, such that I gave up and inquired elsewhere. After ~10 total texts, VM's and emails, I got a response and an apology that they were busy. In July 2024, Vortex was contracted by my home warranty company to repair our broken AC unit. Communication with their administrative staff proved challenging, and when I finally reached them, they appeared to undervalue the scope of work required due to their affiliation with the warranty company. After having 2 other companies showed up at my home to work on the A/C only to have the unit go down again in less than 3 months, a 3rd company (Vortex) was brought in. Right away, we could see the different from the Technician standpoint. Oscar asked a lot of questions to better understand what was going on, but also what the other companies did or did not do. I have had many repairman come to my home over the years however never have. I had a service professional like Oscar. Oscar was a gentleman. He was thorough, conscientious, and diligent. He walked me through everything that he did explaining everything as he went along. I am going to remember Vortex and remember Oscar and when the need arises, I will call and ask for Oscar to come back! If all of the Vortex technicians are as terrific as Oscar, then Vortex is one hell of a company.
