Dr. Volz is a FANTASTIC physician and is a real advocate for his patients. He listens carefully and gets to the root cause of the problem and thinking outside the box in what could be unusual causes for manifestations a person may be having. He has two locations in CO and his staff is excellent. I recommend to all who live in the Denver metro area.
Dr. Volz helped me get on the right path for a diagnosis, but I kept being given the run-around by his office staff. I was told that because he is a specialist, he does recommendations, not referrals. So I needed another appt with primary even though I had just seen them. They also said that he was too busy to coordinate care with my other physicians and that if they wanted to call him, he might be able to answer, but he is usually too busy to be interrupted and won't call out.
Really seems to want to figure out the cause of symptoms instead of just giving pills to releive symptoms.
Dr Volz team has been incredibly unresponsive, unprofessional, and I would never recommend his practice to anyone. I waited over 6 weeks for lab results, that had already been resulted, and was told this was due to 200 labs being reviewed each week and mine were not life threatening so did not warrant any immediate action. Very disappointing and frustrating.
This has been a nightmare. He dropped me as a patient and his stfff will not cooperate with sending my records to NJH. Miserable staff!!!
I would most definitely recommend him. In my eyes he is like finding a 'Dr. House'. He is very companionate and really digs in to get to the bottom of underlying health issues. Am so relieved to be referred to someone that was not dismissive of what I was conveying. After many years of trying to get to the bottom of reoccurring health issues, I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel after seeing him.
Dr Volz is very knowledgeable and friendly. His staff, however, is another story. They have always been vague, impatient, and unprofessional. There lack of effort to help patients is appalling. His office does not return phone calls promptly and they are rude if you ask questions. I have had to call a few times to make sure documents get where they are supposed to and messages get to the doctor. I love doctor Volz but its a shame his office staff doesn't match his quality of care.
