I work for a nonprofit organization that is paying a lot of money to Volo Sports to rent West Covington Park for an event. The park is beautiful, but it has no running water, no restrooms, no semi-permanent tent after it was damaged this year, and no trash service or even trash cans. The whole rental process has been convoluted, slow, difficult, and communication is poor. We will have to think hard about our event location next year and whether we want to support Volo Sports by hosting an event at this park.
The local Volo leadership in Baltimore is very unprofessional. They're extremely unorganized and when that unorganization negatively impacts their patrons they respond disrespectfully and discourteously. I have personally seen a staff member physically assault a patron. The local leadership's response to that happening was to ban the player while the staff member still works there. Disgusting behavior. It's no surprise that the leagues are dying and the reviews on here are mostly negative.
NOT a safe league. One of the flag football officials has repeatedly put his hands on players and Volo continues to employ him while blaming the players.
