I received ECT (electroconvulsive therapy - shock treatment) from Dr. Vollmar at Yale Psychiatric Hospital. The treatments caused me to have severe memory loss. I can't remember highly significant events from the past 20 years. My reading comprehension has declined tremendously and I can't follow conversations. There was no follow up from him or anyone at Yale. All the Yale doctors I've been to to try and get help deny that ECT caused my memory loss. Just a warning to you that ECT can severely damage your brain.
