Scheduled a recall. Had to drive in to schedule it btw. They don't seem to answer the phones down there. Then when you leave a message for a return call you don't hear back from them. Got several excuses about short staff. Apparently listening to voicemails and returning phone calls aren't high priority. Made the recall appointment with a scheduled oil change as well since we were coming in anyways. 2 weeks goes by and we show up as scheduled at 4pm. First oil change on our 20024 VW Tiguan & as always the Team at Volkswagen of Olympia were Awesome! Greater me with a smile, kept me updated, & thanked me for coming in. Can’t ask for more than that!
Apparently at VW of Olympia, you sign a blank form first, then they fill in the important details later. I was charged $200 to “diagnose” that my touchscreen was broken — something I had already clearly explained — and was only told my warranty had expired after the work was done. Total bill: $400 for an oil change and obvious information. If you enjoy surprise charges and being talked down to, this might be the place for you. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
