I came to VW of Downtown Chicago with my financing already in place, for the vehicle I wanted. I was informed that my consent had to be given as it is policy to check if they could find a better rate through their financial institutions. I did not want this but ultimately did give permission. They then ran my credit 5 times. This tanked my score, and I didn't even need my credit run. I had the financing in place. Once I received the initial paperwork it was absolutely loaded with 'fees'. How much for a simple tire rotation? Not only they did not do it correctly but the tires were deflated and my front numberplate was all bent and hanging on one screw. I have no idea what they did and they charge me for it. The service advisor was rude and uncooperative. I would never take my car there ever again although I bought the car from them.
