Food was good but service needs work, for a 50$ lunch you would expect to be able to enjoy each course not be served everything at one time, this was a one top no less I can't imagine what a large party would endure. Still good quality tho had to update to 4 stars. Can't do less for how good the food is, ik lunch is when you train the new ones but you got to give a little time between courses. Thanks for the food.
Went to what we thought was happy hour and felt very ripped off. Asked the waitress twice if it was happy hour and she told us yes. We ordered multiple items including drinks off the happy hour menu and some items off the full menu. The waitress was nice but forgot a drink three separate times, and I had to remind her all three times. Finally, someone in my group reminded her and she finally brought the drink. Food is great but service is a NIGHTMARE! Should only be a take out place. Extremely short staffed, and unorganized. The waitress decided to clean a table 4 feet away from us while we were eating, food comes out very slow and the hostess is never at her station due to being so short staffed. I wouldn’t recommend coming in to dine just grab take out and be prepared to wait for that for 45-60 minutes as we heard the waitress say that on the phone to a customer!
I can’t even believe this! I walk in to have lunch alone and I sat down to wait to be seated. I only sat maybe 3 mins before a family of 5 came in and the waiter stated hello how can I help you and seated them! That pissed me off because you didn’t see me sitting here waiting to be seated??? I saw you bring drinks and refill water while I waited. I asked to speak to the manager and got an apology. I decided to not even eat because it’s bigger than just getting an apology. We had never eaten at Volcanic Hunter’s Crossing before, but we needed sushi and Asian food for my son’s college graduation party, and close friends highly recommended them. The catering we ordered was fresh, ready on time, and the sushi was both beautiful and delicious. The customer service was amazing, and they helped make our party a hit with all the guests. Any time I’m in Gainesville, I’ll make a point to stop in and eat at Volcanic!
