i went to Voila salon on Brighton Way because my usual russian manicure tech wasn’t available. the nail tech was Tammy. i WAS NOT trying to get a russian manicure here—i just needed a basic cleanup and regular polish in a pinch. i also specifically chose regular polish because i didn’t want gel/LED curing (the LED lights make my hands look darker, and i didn’t have my UV gloves with me). this place was recommended by a friend, and he gets basic manicure/pedicure services here and says they do a decent job for him. so i came ... read more

Do NOT get nail extensions here. They have no idea what they’re doing, they are sloppy and have zero care or attention to detail. They literally just do clear press ons with gel glue, so your nails can fall off, which is what happened to me in less than a week after getting it here and paying $100 before tip. Can you imagine? Super thick and soppy too. Do yourself a favor, pay extra $20-30 and go to a salon that does Russian manicure for extensions, thank me later. I’m adding 1 star because the lady was very nice. This place was extremely unprofessional. We went in for one pedicure and one mani-pedi. I asked for a clear coat on my toenails, but when the technician finished, I noticed she had forgotten it. I politely asked her to apply it, and she responded rudely before walking off. My boyfriend had a different nail technician, but they also forgot to shine and buff his nails. The staff were incredibly friendly and did a wonderful job with my nails! Despite having Japanese gel nails, the service was very speedy, taking only about an hour in total. とてもフレンドリーなスタッフで、わたしのネイルを綺麗に仕上げてもらいました！ 日本のジェルネイルがついていましたが、合計1時間ほどでとてもスピーディーな施術でした。
