I originally booked a room through Expedia, and I subsequently canceled the reservation. I confirmed the cancellation with the hotel staff, who assured me that the visit was canceled. Knowing this, I made new reservations at another nearby Holiday Inn IGA, closer to my destination, and paid $450 for the weekend. Despite this, I was still charged $175 by the hotel, which I find unacceptable and fraudulent. I canceled the reservation before the 24 hour no cancellation window. I was charged full price for the room anyway. When I called rhe hotel to demand a refund the front desk person, Caroline, was rude. Ar first she was ok, then proceeded to get ruder and ruder because I refused to take NO for an answer. I called back, was hung up on 3 times, other times was put on hold so she didn’t have to deal with me. The hotel manager called me today. I don’t remember her name. The front desk clerk was very nice, but the condition of my room is unacceptable. The AC unit is filled with debris, which is disturbing. The bathrooms do not have vent fans, the tub stopper is broken, and the tub is peeling and needs resurfacing. The carpet is stained throughout, the curtains and chair have stains, and the couch needs cleaning. Worst place I ever stayed nothing worked Spent 200 dollars on decorations to propose When we came back to the room from the airport the ceiling had fell in The lights were broke People got trapped in the elevator Then they fraudulenty charged my room an extra 150 dollars I've contacted Raphael Sanchez with the local news I have pictures and audio recording of the Manger being rude
