We had planned to use VNA for my father’s hospice care which I had planned for in advance. When the time came he went to the ER for a fall and what we suspected was a recurring bladder infection. I had called VNA days before to test his catheter for bladder infection which they had be caring for. They never came. Finally at the ER they tested and told us he had an aggressive bacterial infection and my father told the ER doctor and a nurse witness that he wanted to deny treatment and let the infection take its course.
