The breakfast and drinks at the hotel were very good, but I was disappointed with the front desk service. When I asked about a duplicate surcharge/amenity fee, the staff did not offer to help check the bill and instead told me that “if I had booked directly, I wouldn’t need to pay the fee,” and that my third-party platform “should not have charged it.” We understand we can contact the booking platform, but the tone and attitude made us feel blamed rather than assisted. I’ve stayed at the Vive Hotel Waikiki three times now, and it's still a fantastic choice. The location is hard to beat—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything in Waikiki. The complimentary breakfast is very good, with enough variety to start the day well, and the rooms are pretty nice and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond for my partner’s birthday, and the welcome gift they prepared was truly top-notch, making our stay feel extra special.
