Waited a year for a neurologist just to brush me off and say its mental. Since my brain scan is fine. I have years of physical issues as well so to dismiss me was extremely upsetting. What a waste. I'm not one of those lazy people. Im trying to get better.

My father was diagnosed with dementia after a 10-minute appointment while he was clearly in a manic state. That diagnosis is now being used to block further psychiatric treatment. What’s even more concerning is that there was no thorough review of his recent hospital history before making that call. A hospital physician later spoke with him directly and stated that his condition did not align with dementia, especially with normal labs and imaging. The person who deals with my V.N.S. cares more about me then him! Takes forever to fill prescriptions! It's bad that he's the only one in Kings co.! I can't drive because of my seizures and I'm thinking about getting one in Visalia! That would be me catching a bus really early and spending most of my day in Visalia, just to get a neurologist that even cares! I wonder if he would change his response if he had seizures, a brain aneurysm that they can't do anything about, and a brain cyst between his cerebellum and skull?!
