Dr. Shah performed a total hip replacement on me about a year ago. I am 47 years old and extremely active. Dr. Shah's confidence and knowledge is contagious. I have made a full recovery and am back to doing everything I was prior to surgery. I have not felt so good in years. I am so grateful for his ability in his field.
I am writing just 2 days after having a total knee replacement with Dr. Shah. my 2nd total knee replacement In a years time. The previous left knee replaced last March at a different hospital with a different physician. Despite the positive end result my overall experience was less than a good one. After 2 days at Brigham and Womens Hospital I can't believe the team Everyone so professional from the amazing nursing staff to the lab personal and kitchen help. An amazing physician, staff and wonderful care.
There are not enough stars in the sky to properly rate Dr. Shah and his team, in the office and at the hospital. I could not have asked for better results. After THR I was walking with a walker same day as surgery, no walker and only one crutch days later, and unassisted within two weeks. Was able to walk over a mile by then and unlimited distance by 2 months post-surgery. Resumed all activities by 4 months post-op. Zero pain by 3 months post-op. I suffered knee issues for years & a hometown Ortho Surgeon had diagnosed me for a full knee replacement at age 70. I was 65. I went to Dr. Shaw who wouldn't reccemend a full, instead he performed a "partial knee rellacement" before my 66th. b.day. I was golfing again in 4 weeks, bye bye pain & pain killers & avoiding walking vacations. Now 70, I cycle 60-80 miles a week in good weather & the last 5 yes. of golfing again has been great.
