I am writing this review to say I purchased a home in Marysville, ca. I paid on time for 5 years, I finally paid it off and about 30 days after it was paid off I checked my credit and it said my last payment was late. I also had a co-signer that said his credit report said the payment was late. I was very angry to see that this happened to me and someone that had helped me co-sign for the loan. I was a co-signer with VITEK with another person that bought a home and 30 days after they paid the home off I checked my credit and it said they had made the last payment late, I spoke to the home owner and they said it was not paid late. You would think that after having a great customer paying on time for 5 years that you would appreciate that customer.. Not VITEK all they want is the money and don't care about the customer. As a first-time home buyer and state employee, I went to Vitek because they advertise themselves as catering to the needs of state employees through their "CalPERM" mortgage program - which is misleading, as they are not affiliated with CalPERS or the original CalPERM program that had been discontinued. The loan officer fumbled her responsibilities to be in constant communication with myself and my realtor during the process which cost me $500 for an appraisal that would never have been needed (due to a poor home inspection ... read more
