As a former employee of VITAS Healthcare, I saw first hand the compassion the IDT teams have for patients and their families. Although I am no longer employed by VITAS, I can say with certainty that care and comfort are the main priority of the entire team.

I applied in October, in November after multiple communications was offered a job pending ing approval. I asked for clarification and I indicated I could not wait for no response from leadership ( lack thereof). I fortunately accepted another position then received an email job offer was revoked. Unprofessional, incompetent and dishonest. I hope your law suit for Medicare fraud teaches you about honesty. Good riddance

Where do I begin... My uncle was placed on GIP level of care at Riverside Community Hospital. Our family is very familiar with the hospice philosophy and all that it comes with it. Our Vitas nurse was Maria Orejil. The most Uncompassionate nurse I have ever met. She did not provide education or time for my family to process anything. She wanted to rush his death. Ok communication to admit in to Hospice but awful Communication after care. Chaplin called me 9 AM on day after he died, I called right back, about 10 minutes, and left message to return call. I had to call again the generic number later at 9 PM for any information for after care information requested.
