Please don't place your love one in hospital hospice with this company. I didn't experience home hospice but definately dont do hospital hospice with his company and St Bernardines Medical Center. First hours of my dad in hospice i had to call the main office and I ask to speak with the person that i spoke the day we agree on hospice. As a former employee of VITAS Healthcare, I saw first hand the compassion the IDT teams have for patients and their families. Although I am no longer employed by VITAS, I can say with certainty that care and comfort are the main priority of the entire team.

I applied in October, in November after multiple communications was offered a job pending ing approval. I asked for clarification and I indicated I could not wait for no response from leadership ( lack thereof). I fortunately accepted another position then received an email job offer was revoked. Unprofessional, incompetent and dishonest. I hope your law suit for Medicare fraud teaches you about honesty. Good riddance

Where do I begin... My uncle was placed on GIP level of care at Riverside Community Hospital. Our family is very familiar with the hospice philosophy and all that it comes with it. Our Vitas nurse was Maria Orejil. The most Uncompassionate nurse I have ever met. She did not provide education or time for my family to process anything. She wanted to rush his death.
