Been a terrible experience so far. I have 1 star for the admitting lady who was awesome .another star for the ladies who answer the phones. Everyrhing else has been a mess. In a already very difficult time these people have not made this any better. I am beyond disappointed
In May of this year my mother, C. White, suffered a stroke and soon after was admitted to Vitas Hospice facility in Lecanto Florida. The facility was wonderful, private rooms and a very attentive, caring and professional staff. My mother received top notch care and the staff even made sure family members were made comfortable. When she passed peacefully, the staff were very helpful in making further arrangements and to this day will follow up with family members regarding bereavement. My wife was only taken there to spend the night after having a healthy discharge from the hospital following leg surgery 2 days prior. She was never terminal only in chronic pain with light at the end of the tunnel to return to normal life. I agreed that she could spend 1 night there , she arrived around 530pm and was dead by 1155pm. She was revived by narcam and cpr by paramedics because I told them to call 911 if not they were letting her die under a overdose of morphine which she wasn't suppose to have, so why did you sti... read more
My husband was in Hospice at home. We choose Vitas as our caregivers group. Every single person that made contact with my husband and myself treated us with the utmost respect.
