At first I thought this company was good. There were a few issues I spoke about in the survey. Recently I tried to join a support group and came across the most BIZZAR thing. NO SUPPORT GROUPS FOR WOMEN? Ongoing support groups for every other demographic. Not even an ongoing support group that includes women (other than Espanol, don’t speak Spanish.) the only demographic that has a gap in support options is women. I agree with Kria's review! We loved the caregiver, Alyssa! Not her fault we are unhappy! They threw us under the bus as soon as they were pressured to get rid of a few of their patients! Their letter was a so-called "standard" letter stating that my mom's health improved, she has cancer and dementia which neither can improve!!! My mom is 91 years old and apparently is not declining fast enough for their program! My mother does not have a clue what day it is, what season it is or where she is! I would never suggest this company to anyone. Throughout the entirety of using this company we have seen and heard things that no family should ever have to deal with while their family member is on hospice. My advice, RUN!! This company hires very unprofessional individuals who do not care about the patients and are in it for the wrong reasons. The staff we dealt with was completely classless and inappropriate.

Vitas forcibly removed my dear friend from home hospice care. Her best friends could not find her for seven days. She died isolated and alone. One ignorant garbage social worker, Jennifer, did this. Pittsburgh Vitas needs to take out their trash. My biggest failure as a caregiver was not protecting my friend from Vitas hospice.
