Generally had decent experience donating, but whoever handles the paperwork is a liability. They made me two accounts that I couldn't log into until I called the helpline, with lots of false information, and none of my records, despite the fact I've been donating regularly for years. Whoever is was, I really hope they aren't also dealing directly with the donors or the donations.
My husband went to give blood and he was treated badly: he was told it is natural to become bruised by the stick (and that is not true if it is done properly). And then the attendant was a novice who jabbed thru his vein and couldn't draw blood, so had to re-stick and ask for help from someone, resulting in a serious hematoma that had to be tightly wrapped with instructions to not lift anything and to keep it tight for at least 4 hours. Very bad treatment, no apologies or anything.
Some of their workers are racist and denied my mom and treated her horribly because she spoke broken English. They have also turned my dad and aunt away, even when the place was empty.
