My mom stayed here, and I'm so thankful for everyone who helped care for her. The occupational, physical, and speech therapy were excellent. The therapists were patient and encouraging, which meant a lot during a difficult time. The food was great, and it was nice that there were activities for her to take part in. The atmosphere was warm and supportive, and I really appreciate that as her daughter. Thank you to the whole team for taking care of my mom.

I felt like my mom was held hostage way longer than she needed to be there and they did not communicate with me, stood me up for the “care call”, didn’t call me back for days, had her medications wrong, didn’t try to find out her baseline… and I had to push and yell to get her discharged. She only fractured her nose and yet the palomar hospital sent her to rehab and rehab for no good reason and I didn’t seem to have a say. My husband was at Vista Knolls from July 7 to August 7 for rehab after back surgery. Everyone that took care of him from his doctor, the nurses, CNAs, PTs, OTs, and housekeeping treated him very well. The receptionists always greeted me kindly and asked how we were doing. They all loved what they did, cared about their patients and gave them respect as a human being in every situation.
