I was looking for a Visitor Information Centre which you can normally find in tourist areas but it seems that Cairns doesn’t have one The lady was very helpful but the business is only set up for booking tours and not for advice about non commercial travel such as by caravan to remote areas If I wanted a hotel or boat trip then I would use the centre
Excellent tourist info centre with really helpful staff! The lady I spoke to (I think her name was Lyn, I’m deeply sorry and ashamed that I have forgotten) was so patient with me and the other customers she was assisting when I arrived. She suggested and booked for me a couple of excellent tours, and made some other suggestions that I followed up on later. I think this place is probably overlooked in favour of the other more prominent info centres on the Esplanade, which is a shame because a lot of people are missing out. Oh... read more

Great tourist info centre. Located in the pier shops (underneath shangri-la). Undercover paid parking is available under shangri-la (cars - free for 2 hrs) or for larger vehicles etc in the lagoon carpark. Caravans will not always have space.
