Not a good place to work. If you get sick and have a doctor’s note they are upset with you and attacking you like you did something wrong. Sickness is not something you can know in advance. They wanted me to go see patients even when I’m sick I refused. I wouldn’t want to get patients sick especially working with the elderly community.
Spectacular. I'm aware of the ratings that are on here but our experience with VHS working with my now late Mother-in-Law was top notch. Staff arrived or phoned exactly on schedule with no issues. They treated my MIL with respect and compassion as Pancreatic Cancer slowly took her and some even attended the funeral. They did what was required and much more. Massive respect.
The people that cared for my mother from VHS of NJ were outstanding. She was discharged out of St. Joseph’s Wayne and transferred into hospice care at her home where all of her medical equipment was already setup. From there we had an intake assessment with Lauren who patiently explained the different people and meds we should see over the next few days. Poor services on the infusion department. They don’t work on weekends. If your family member is older, please look for another facility. The PICC line has blood since Thursday and has not been changed in 8day and they want to wait 2 extra days to do so.
That 1 star is for the PT person ONLY. I can not and will not give any stars for the Nurse. The services are terrible and they really need to be re-educated on the "standard of care" that patients should be receiving. NO ONE should have to stress about when a nurse is or isn't going to arrive, especially not a cardiac patient. I will not give any stars to the Speech Therapist either. If you can find Home Health Services with another company, PLEASE DO.
