Visiting Angels staff emphasized providing excellent care. They were very supportive of caregivers and clients and I always felt they had my back. For the most part, duties and responsibilities were made clear. Schedules were created around caregivers' availability. There could be a good amount of driving to clients' homes and sometimes hours between clients that didn't maximize my time, and schedule changes and requests to fill in could be difficult. I worked for VA for 11 years. I loved it! The owners are very supportive; they're problem solvers who work with caregivers and clients. The caregivers are conscientious, hard workers and really care about their clients.
Visiting Angels are simply amazing! My siblings and I moved my elderly father up to Grand Rapids from the home in which we all grew up down in the Kalamazoo area about 18 months ago. He is living right next-door to my sister, so he does have support from us, however, we work full-time and my sister has two small children. Visiting Angels cared for my mother and served our family well for over four years. Our visiting Angel, Melissa, was not only a helping hand but also a companion and friend to my mom.
