Exceptional clinic! The staff and Dr. McCallum take thoughtful care of their patients and do a great job educating their clients.
Eye surgery was successful, but they just care about money!
My dog had a severe eye injury and Vision Care for Animals was able to schedule a consult within the day. We scheduled surgery within a couple of days and my dog made a full recovery. They did excellent work I highly recommend them to anyone.
I am deeply grateful to Dr. Patrick McCallum and the entire team at Vision Care for Animals in Palo Alto for the exceptional care they provided to our beloved dog, Chibi. Chibi is our 18-year-old, 5 1/2-pound Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, and she had already lost vision in one eye due to glaucoma. I have to share my bad experiences just to WARN potential patients about this clinic: 1. Bad surgery outcome: Not sure what happened during the surgery, my dog Richie's right eye that was operated on has become blind! Likely caused by the surgery trauma. 2. Overcharging practice: I was told the surgery cost will cover 3 free post-ops visits, however, each visit I was charged $60 for tears-paper test, which is a very standard test for ophthalmologist visits.
