Had doubles and aloo pie.they were so good.will be back for trying the lunch entrees.the only thing was there was a slight different oil taste.
Been to Trinidad once in 91 and sampled many doubles there but among the dozens of Trini Caribbean restaurants from Oshawa to London and Niagara to Barrie including Toronto I place Vishnu's in Cambridge among the top 3 which also includes Drupati's in Rexdale and ACR in Scarborough. Very affordable compared to most. It's about 3 minutes north on hwy 24 so there great access if your passing through the area.
Definition of a hidden gem! Tucked away in a suburban strip mall - true Trinidadian flavours! The doubles brought me back to the streets of Port of Spain! Soft bara and flavourful chutneys with homemade pepper sauce 🤤 I went in to buy 6 and had to buy 6 more (to share of course!). I’d recommend roti over rice for all dishes. The young woman at the counter was very kind, funny & helpful. A family-run spot worth the detour!
