I have been receiving Great medical care from everyone at Virtua Center for Liver Disease for four years. Recently, my employer switched insurance companies. When my medication was to be re-filled, my new insurance company denied refilling my perscription. Micaela Gernhardt, PA is the best. I met with Germhardt once, and I was very impressed. She ordered labs and reached out to me as soon as the results came in, which prevented me from worrying about the abnormal levels. She is kind, caring, and an excellent listener. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received. I had an appointment scheduled for 5 months ago, and just received a last-minute cancellation email. I had booked a trip home based on this appointment. Despite multiple calls, messages to the doctor, and a personal visit, I was told there are no available appointments, and I'll have to wait another 6 months. Given my serious health condition requires regular 6-month check-ups, this cancellation without a phone call is unacceptable. The lack of communication and long wa... read more

From day one it has been an ongoing issue when it came to “care” no one answers the phone. The doctor I’m being treated by clearly doesn’t like me and won’t return my MYCHART messages. I feel like a lab rat, there’s no care or compassion. I feel completely alone and scared for my future.
