The dreaded swollen lug nuts syndrome. I made an appointment online for an oil change and tire rotation. The process was easy and they got my car in the bay on time. After about an hour, I was informed my nuts were swollen and they would need to charge me extra to get them off for the rotation. I was told the tech spent 15 mins getting one nut off. This has been my go to auto shop for many years, despite some lapses, but today might change that forever. Kept my car all day, no updates till I called them around 1:30p, and then couldn’t keep up their word, and was asked to let them keep my car overnight. Ridiculous, right? These dudes will bend over backwards to find a reason to fail your inspections! Twice I’ve gone to them for two vehicles in which they’ve failed me to then take it to a dealership where the mechanics have both said they should have not failed you. -responding to the predicted reply by the company below. I took my car directly to a dealership mechanic and they looked at your notes and said “they were clearly trying to fleece you.” This wasn’t some back yard garage mechanic, it was from the actual dealership.
