I showed up for my monthly infusion at 8:30 AM. I did not get to start until 12:00 PM. Because I had to wait for the medication to come from their main hospital miles away. So many unnecessary red tape and paperwork to generate additional profit. I started my health journey with Virginia Oncology about 5 years ago under the leadership of Doctor Metha. I was extremely upset with the lack of responsible on Mary Washington Hospital Pharmacy. IT took 2+1/2 to get my Chemo treatment delivered to the oncologist building today on Chatham Heights Road. Thank you ladies,Samira,Hazel and Kelsea! You are definitely God's Angels. And of course Dr. Brandt. I wouldn't have lived this long if I didn't have you .
My mother waited 2.5 hours for her medication to be made, when we complained to management there was no follow up. we ended up asking to be deaccessed and left without treatment, unable to wait any longer. Mary Washington has once again bought up a wonderful practice and run it into the ground. The nurses here are stressed and burnt out, and it shows. I'm not sure why prescriptions for infusions are now being sent offsite and then delivered when everything had worked perfectly fine before. Quality of care has been slowly dim... read more
My appointment was at 9:15 it is now 12:15. I had to wait to get my IV fluid due to technical issues and scanners not working. I was just informed that the chemo is no longer being made on site. That I have to even longer for it to be sent from the hospital. This is abseederd!!! What happened if there is traffic,, The bridge is close? If there is an auto accident and the chemo is not delivered? My time is valuable. I have other responsibilities that now will have to be rescheduled.
