Every hospital in the country is increasingly becoming sick care agencies, but VMMC was a place I held in high regard before 2020. This institution is just constantly understaffed. It’s very difficult to get anything scheduled and the service and medical professionals are difficult to work with due to that. I’m just trying to get nerve compressions on my spine consulted with and despite having urgent on the referral and calling them several times they keep stalling. Just save yourself the time and the pain and go elsewhere.

I have been a patient at Virgina Mason for over ten years. In the past few years I noticed a big difference in the type of care that I receive. Things like unhelpful staff members, doctors who never have time to see you, prescription and pre-auth. requests taking forever to process. I have had a painful out patient procedure that should not have been as painful, I have also had a misdiagnoses because someone missed something and entered in wrong information on my chart. It was a long wait but all the care I received along the way was outstanding and the final surgery has gotten me back on my feet. Hope not too repeat this, but so thankful the entire staff was there to help.
