I'd like to give this guy ZERO stars but that doesn't register. He lied to me by saying I needed surgery for a hernia. He didn't say I might have one, he said I did and talked about repairing it with mesh then sent me straight to a person to schedule a date. I did not trust him as the look on his face and the way he said it gave me the feeling he wasn't being honest. Dr. Gillian did a fantastic job correcting my recurrent hiatal hernia and redoing my fundoplication originally done by another surgeon. My original surgery (done by someone else not connected to Dr. Gillian) never did my surgery correctly. For the last 15 years I've been telling numerous other doctors that my original surgery wasn't done correctly as I continued to have heartburn and reflux issues and still stuck taking PPIs twice daily, but no one believed me. Things started out well, but now they have stopped responding to messages and I am left in the dark. My concerns and questions have not been addressed, and I have also been in limbo on referrals for other issues they said they could provide. Instead of providing guidance, they simply don't respond. I will be seeking another surgeon, which is too bad, because they're close by and apparently the best in the area.
