Top 3 things: Service, rooftop views, cool historical building LOVE the rooftop and the views, the guest exclusive accessto it so it's not overcrowded and feels super VIP. The games and the complimentary happy hour add such a cool touch! Generally good hotel with great location in downtown Chicago. Clean room, modern amenities, and the rooftop lounge with pool table and drinks is a nice plus as well. Just two reasons for not giving a higher rating. The Wifi was really slow, much slower than using data on our phones. More importantly, they are really pushing a $99 "special" that you pay now and go to their hotel in Nashville or Chicago within 12 months simply by calling a number. We stayed at Sports Illustrated for 2 days, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Parking can be crazy in the area and valet was a breeze) additional charge bit so worth it) We were checked in by Owen and my husband mentioned it was my birthday. We went out for a while and when we came back Owen and the activities team had a beautiful gift basket with wine and other treats in our room! That thoughtful gesture was so sweet. I booked the Sports Illustrated Resort in Chicago solely based on price. My a pleasantly surprised I was when I got to experience the value of service for my money. Mr. Patrick Lloyd single-handedly made this one of the greatest overstay experiences I have had – this is coming off traveling 36 to 42 weeks a year. Wonderful Stay at Sports Illustrated Resort! I recently stayed at Sports Illustrated Resort, and I honestly had such a pleasant experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I stayed on the 9th floor in room 911, one bedroom suite, it was huge! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept so well.
